On 5/11/2010 The Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment (VACNE) held a ceremony to recognize Vietnam Heritage tree for the Diospyros Decandra Lour in Hue City

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Khoa Diem, Ex-Member of the Politburo of the Party Central Committee, Ex- Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party of Vietnam, Ex-minister of Ministry of culture and information, leaders of the many of branches of Hue City and Thuy Xuan ward, people in the wards, the press, radio and television journalists.
