MONRE approved the draft national environmental protection plan

On December 19, in Hanoi, the Ministerial Appraisal Council of the MONRE met and approved the draft National Environmental Protection Plan for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. Vietnam's first national environmental master plan.
According to the General Department of Environment, implementing the direction of the Prime Minister in Decision 274/QD-TTg in 2020 approving the task of formulating the national environmental protection planning period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. , the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has presided over the finalization of the draft Master Plan.
The objective is to concretize the National Environmental Protection Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2050 and adapt to climate change scenarios, meet the requirements of environmental protection and achieve the sustainable development goals. .
In the planning period from 2021 to 2030, with a vision to 2050, the draft Master Plan sets out the goal of proactively preventing and controlling pollution and environmental degradation; restore and improve environmental quality; conserving nature and biodiversity to ensure sustainable development of the country; contribute to improving capacity to proactively respond to climate change and bring net emissions to zero by 2050. The master plan also sets out specific views, goals, tasks and solutions for environmental protection; national environmental protection orientation based on 4 planning objects; priority project list; solutions and resources to implement the plan.
