Dak Lak Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment jointly organized a consultation workshop on the draft national biodiversity conservation planning report
(VACNE) - Recently, in Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment successfully organized a workshop to collect comments for the draft national biodiversity conservation plan.
The National Biodiversity Conservation Plan aims to guide the conservation and sustainable use of Biodiversity during the planning period; ensure that important natural ecosystems, endangered, precious and rare species and gene sources are conserved and developed sustainably; strengthen effective cooperation between sectors in the use of natural resources to serve the needs of socio-economic development, national defense and security and biodiversity conservation, contributing to proactive response to climate change.

As expected, 258 protected areas, 100 conservation facilities, 8 Biodiversity corridors, 32 High Biodiversity areas, 28 important ecological landscapes, 40 important wetlands will be planned. The planning will focus on solutions: propagating and raising public awareness; mechanisms and policies; science and technology; finance, investment; training and capacity building; international cooperation; organize the implementation and supervision of the implementation of the planning.
Speaking at the conclusion of the workshop, Director General of the Department of Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Duong Thanh An noted the comments of delegates and experts, this will be the premise for the Draft Biodiversity Conservation Plan for the period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050 soon completed and promulgated.
