(VACNE) - Currently, all members in the member units of the Vietnam Association for the Protection of Nature and the Environment express their efforts to adapt to the new situation, according to the directive of the Standing Committee of the VAPNE in a recent meeting.

Specifically, the local Associations are striving to stabilize their organization and are working to maintain activities as planned. In particular, the Associations for Environmental Protection and Natural Resources in the newly merged provinces and cities have been in contact with each other, exchanging discussions, and preparing documents to submit to the competent authorities for a prompt decision on organization, office location, and personnel.Initial information indicates that the Ninh Binh Association for Nature Conservation and Environment has been tasked by the provincial leadership to expand its activities to the newly merged local areas. Accordingly, the project of digitizing ancient trees currently being carried out for the old Ninh Binh province will now also be expanded to the new areas. The Cao Bang Association has merged with the Gardening Association to form the Environment and Gardening Association. Organizational collaboration work is also being urgently conducted in Dong Nai (Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc), similar to Phu Tho (Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc, Hoa Binh), in Dak Lak (Dak Lak and Phu Yen), and in Quang Ngai (Quang Ngai and Kon Tum).

For the affiliated units, the Institute of Applied Green Technology has changed its leadership and workplace address.

At the Central Office of the Vietnam Association for the Conservation of Nature and Environment, the activities of the Vietnam Heritage Tree Council, the Scientific Council, the Awards Council, the Environmental Communication Department, and the Sustainable Community Department are being promoted. The electronic magazine Nature and Environment actively publishes articles addressing important, hot issues of public concern. The Association's website has been streamlined to facilitate readers' focus on the Association's activities.

The Association's Office processes relevant documents quickly and with quality. By July 24, the number of outgoing official letters was 150. The most recent is the Decision to add 2 members to the Vietnam Heritage Tree Council, which is an Official Letter to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment in response to the consultation on the recognition of the Campaign Committee for the establishment of the Vietnam Green Environment Creation Association, which is the Official Letter appointing representatives of the Association to participate in the Editorial Team to develop the Regulation on coordination between the People's Procuracy supreme with a number of organizations with functions and tasks to protect vulnerable people,...

The Association's office looks forward to receiving timely feedback on the initiatives and experiences of member units during this transition period, in order to inform all members promptly.
