Three more localities in Thu Dau Mot City and Ben Cat City (Binh Duong) have been recognized as Heritage Trees.
(VACNE) – On June 15, 2025, in Thu Dau Mot city, Binh Duong province, the local government and people of Phu Tho ward solemnly organized a ceremony to announce the decision and receive the certificate recognizing Heritage Trees of Vietnam for 3 localities in Binh Duong province.
The ceremony was attended by many important leaders and representatives, including Mr. Nguyen Van Sum, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Thu Dau Mot City; Mr. Vo Chi Thanh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thu Dau Mot City, along with the leaders of the wards of Phu Tho, Chanh My, Thoi Hoa and a large number of local people.
Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Sinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Nature and Environment Protection Association, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Hai, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Heritage Trees Council, attended and directly presented the Decision and Certificate recognizing Vietnamese Heritage Trees to representatives of the localities.
In the opening speech by Mr. Võ Minh Tiến, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phú Thọ Ward, along with representatives of the localities recognized as Vietnam Heritage Trees, they expressed deep gratitude to the government agencies, especially the Vietnam Nature and Environment Protection Association and the Vietnam Heritage Tree Council, for their support in the process of preparing and approving the recognition of Vietnam Heritage Trees. This activity not only directly protects biodiversity and environmental landscapes, but it also carries profound humanitarian significance, such as honoring the cultural and historical values of the locality, fostering community cohesion; promoting ecotourism and traditional education.

Associate Professor Dr. Tran Ngoc Hai, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Heritage Tree Council, announced the decision recognizing the Heritage Trees of Vietnam from various localities.
Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Sinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Conservation and Environmental Association, presented the Decision and the Certificate recognizing the Heritage Trees of Vietnam to representatives of the localities.
On this occasion, the President of the Association also awarded a Certificate of Merit to Mr. Nguyễn Minh Thuận for his outstanding achievements in connecting, promoting, spreading, and directly guiding and supporting localities in Bình Dương Province to establish a dossier for recognizing Vietnam's Heritage Trees, contributing to the promotion and preservation of the values of ancient trees in Bình Dương during the period 2023-2025.
The leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Committee, and People’s Council of Thu Dau Mot City presented green trees as a congratulation.
Representatives of the localities presented flowers as a token of gratitude to the leaders of the Vietnam Association for the Protection of Nature and the Environment and the Heritage Tree Council.
