At this meeting, the leaders of the Association listened to a brief report on the Association's activities in the past months and the plan for May and June 2026. They each contributed very specific opinions, with high consensus, aiming at the goal of successfully completing the 16 very specific tasks set out by the Office of the Association and approved by the President of the Association, Dr. Nguyễn Ngọc Sinh.
Specifically: 1 - Continue to comply with the directives of management levels regarding streamlining and improving the efficiency and performance of the Association's activities.
2 - Urge the Committees and Councils to hold mid-year reviews for the first six months and adjust or supplement the plan for the last six months of 2026 (to be completed before June 20).
3 - Organize the regular Standing Committee meeting for the first six months of 2026 (at the end of June 2026).
4 - Continue to closely follow and support the activities of local Environmental Associations in the new situation, especially in newly merged provinces and cities that are facing difficulties, such as Hai Phong, Dong Thap, Lam Dong…
5 - Urge and guide units and local Associations to propose topics and tasks related to scientific research, communication, and social promotion TV according to the channels of Ministries, sectors, localities, and the Union of Science and Technology Associations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
6 - Complete tasks related to concluding the project with GAHP on “Open Burning” (scientific reports to GAHP, reports to management agencies, completion of audits, …).
7 - Organize activities for Clean Water and Environmental Sanitation Week, Biodiversity Day (May 22), World Environment Day (June 5), World Oceans Day (June 8), etc.
8 - Continue to implement the project “Conservation of Laoshan Fir in Lào Cai” currently underway (as requested by partners).
9 - Complete the dossier and defend the project and the TV PBXH workshop registered with competent authorities (if the idea is approved).
10 - Monitor and respond to correction requests from the National Political Publishing House – Truth for the two books: “Proactive Disaster Prevention and Mitigation” and Volume 4: “Vietnamese Heritage Trees” compiled by VACNE.
11 - Urge the author group of the project “Open Burning” to edit research results as planned.
12 - Regularly focus on posting information about the activities of the associations in Block V “Economic Science - Environment - Climate Change”. The plan is to organize a seminar with representatives of all member associations on the occasion of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21).
13 - Support the Electronic Journal of Nature and Environment in establishing a Party cell
14 - Effectively implement activities related to: organization, personnel, Council of Directors, social affairs; communication, scientific research, people's diplomacy, Conservation of Vietnam's Heritage Trees
15 - Promote the traditional song “Environmental Song” by author Ngọc Lê Ninh, which has officially been donated to the Vietnam Environmental Protection Association this year.
16 - Strive to successfully complete urgent tasks related.
