Authorities said the products showed signs of violating intellectual property regulations and were coordinating with representatives of Nike and Adidas in Vietnam for further investigation.
At the same time, Team No. 16 inspected businesses in Phu Hoa Dong, Tan An Hoi and Cu Chi areas, finding hundreds of skincare products, perfumes, hair creams and sportswear with unclear origins.
The seized items included products bearing labels resembling brands such as Lacoste, Nike, Adidas and Crocs.
Meanwhile, Team No. 14, working with police and local authorities, confiscated 792 suspected counterfeit products, including Honda-branded motorcycle accessories and clothing, socks and footwear bearing logos similar to Chanel, Calvin Klein, Nike and Tommy Hilfiger.
According to the city’s Market Management Department, many businesses have recently shortened opening hours or temporarily closed shops to avoid inspections amid intensified media coverage and enforcement efforts.
