Attending the Congress were Mr. Pham Kim Tan, Secretary General of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Thanh Hoa Province; Dr. Le Xuan Thao, Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, President of the Thanh Hoa Tourism Association; Dr. Le Bich Thang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Environment Protection Association, Member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, along with delegates, guests and 166 staff and members of the Thanh Hoa Environment Protection Association.

At the Congress, a representative of the leadership of the Thanh Hoa Union of Science and Technology Associations acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the Thanh Hoa Environmental Protection Association over the past term.

Along with the intellectuals in the province, the staff and members of the Thanh Hoa Environmental Protection Association have developed rapidly in both quantity and quality; they have set an example in following the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws; they have been at the forefront in researching and applying science and technology to environmental protection work; they have raised awareness and responsibility, contributing to the development of the natural resources and environment sector in particular and the province's socio-economic development in general.   

During the past term, the Thanh Hoa Environmental Protection Association directly took part in reviewing environmental impact assessment reports prepared by agencies, units and local authorities; co-organised specialised scientific workshops; engaged in community outreach, raising awareness and mobilising local people, officials and sectors in the province about environmental protection.

The Association also collaborated on researching and implementing projects, topics and technological processes for treating household waste using biological products in the province, thereby helping to bring scientific and technical advances into practical environmental protection and improvement efforts.

 In the new term, the Thanh Hoa Environmental Protection Association will continue to innovate its content and methods of operation, improve the quality of professional activities, make the most of the potential and intelligence of its staff and members, strengthen research and the application of science and technology in environmental protection, and promote advisory, critique and social appraisal activities.

At the Congress, the Executive Committee of the third term was also elected according to regulations. Mr Nguyen Quang Thai was trusted by the Congress to be elected as the President of the Thanh Hoa Environmental Protection Association for the 2026–2031 term.
