The Nature and Environment Protection Association of Dong Nai City has just strengthened its organisation and rolled out many effective activities
((VACNE) - This is the 6-month activity report for 2026 of Mr Nguyen Van Liet, Chairman of The Nature and Environment Protection Association of Dong Nai City, just sent to the office of the VACNE.

According to the amended and supplemented charter, the Association is a social-professional organisation for people who are interested in, dedicated to, or working in nature and environmental protection; joining voluntarily to gather and unite members; protecting the legal rights and interests of members; supporting each other in effectively using natural resources, protecting and improving the environment, and contributing to the sustainable socio-economic development of Dong Nai City.
After Đồng Nai was upgraded to a city, the local Young Volunteers and Environment Protection Association was reorganised and continued its activities. Mr Nguyễn Văn Liệt, the former Standing Vice President of the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Đồng Nai Province (old), was nominated as the President of the Association. The Executive Committee of the Association includes: 19 members; the Standing Committee has: 05 members (01 President, 02 Vice Presidents, 01 Head of the Inspection Committee, 01 General Secretary); the Inspection Committee: 03 members (01 Head, 02 members). Additionally, the Association has 01 staff member handling administrative work, general affairs and also accounting for the Association.
Currently, the Association is working with the Union of Local Science and Technology Associations to organise a scientific workshop: 'Enhancing Capacity to Respond to Climate Change and Promoting Fast and Sustainable Green Development in Dong Nai City in the Era of Growth'. The outline and plan for the workshop have basically been completed, with over 30 reports and papers received and edited for publication in the workshop proceedings.
Advisory and review activities continue to be one of the key and prominent tasks of the Association in 2026. The Executive Committee and invited members have contributed many scientific and practical insights to plans, projects, tasks, scientific and technological topics, and draft resolutions of the Provincial People's Council related to areas such as environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, climate change response, and guidance for green and sustainable development in Dong Nai province.
Through these activities, the Association has gradually affirmed its role as a social-professional organisation working alongside the authorities in the process of planning and adjusting policies, plans, and projects related to the environment and sustainable development; contributing to improving the quality of state management decisions and reducing environmental risks. Overall: The Dong Nai City Environmental Protection and Nature Conservation Association still faces many challenges, but its advisory and critical roles are recognised and highly valued by state management agencies. The Association's activities are gradually shifting from general participation to more in-depth, focused involvement, linked to local practical issues.
The work of information, communication, education, and raising community awareness is also given attention, with many members mobilised to take part.
